Biggin Hill: New Skate and Bike Bowl Opens

29 March 2010

Description:

Biggin Hill has celebrated the opening of a new bike and skate bowl.  Thanks to £80,000 worth of investment from Bromley Council, Biggin Hill teenagers can now enjoy the new facility at the Spitfire Youth Centre in Church Road.  The facility was opened on 20th March by local councillors Gordon Norrie and Julian Benington.

This is the second of two major investments by Bromley Council at Church Road in Biggin Hill, the other being the swimming pool and library complex which is due to open shortly.

The Spitfire Youth Centre allows local youngsters, between the ages of 11 and 19, to meet and socialise and take part in specially organised activities for their age group.  It gives information and advice and assists young people during their adolescence, tackling the relevant issues that arise.
