What’s on in and around Bromley this weekend?

Looking for something to do this weekend in and around Bromley?  As always there is a vast array of varied events taking place from art exhibitions to furniture building courses through to nature walks celebrating the advent in Spring.  But far and away the biggest buzz in Bromley at the moment has to be the Churchill Theatre’s production of Evita, go and see it while you can!

Friday 26^th March

• Me Myself and I – Head over to the Bethlem Gallery to see art based on self expression.  Artists are Dan Duggan, Jonathan Lill and Lisa Biles.

• Orpington’s New Buildings in Art – Orpington has had a number of new buildings spring up in recent months, see local artist Stephen Chaplin’s take on them at the Bromley Museum.

Saturday 27^th March

• Rustic Furniture Course – Ever fund a nice piece of wood whilst out walking in Bromley’s country side and thought to yourself you’d like to make a nice piece of furniture from it.  Find out how at High Elms Country Park this weekend.  Booking is essential.
• Kent Butterflies – Lecture Lunch – Kent has always been famed for its butterflies; this second event at High Elms will talk about these creatures with the aid of examples.  Booking is essential.
• Life Beyond the Disability Conference - Aimed at anybody who looks after young people who have any kind of disability or special need.  This event is free and takes place at Crofton Halls in Orpington.

 Sunday 28^th March

• Signs of Spring in Hayes – What with the daffodils and the raise in temperature, you can’t fail to have noticed that Bromley has finally entered Spring after a particularly challenging winter!  Join a Bromley Countryside Officer on Hayes Common this Sunday to celebrate this fact and learn more about this season and how it manifests itself in Bromley Borough.
• Evita – Round off your weekend in style.  The Churchill Theatre hosts one of its most spectacular productions in recent years with this classic musical.
