Evita, the legendary musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, begins a mammoth run at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley tonight. 

The musical, which began life as a rock opera concept album in 1976 was first shown in London’s West End in 1976.  It tells the life of Eva Perón, the wife of Argentine president Juan Perón, following her early life, acting career, charity work and death.
