Description:
Do you consider yourself green? Do you lead a sustainable lifestyle at home? Do you consider yourselves the Tom and Barbara of this millennium? Did you watch the Oscars last night and reckon that if there was an award for being green that you would be on the shortlist and walking up the red carpet? Well, you just might be in luck!
Bromley Council is keen to hear about its most environmentally friendly residents, in order to enter them into the Bromley Environment Awards 2010. The competition is open to all residents, companies, schools and other organisations in the borough and the categories include: Green Business; Green Group; Green Champion; Green Household; Green School; Young Environmentalist and Green Building & Gardens.
There will of course be a full awards ceremony which will take place on July 9th this year, with judging taking place in May. The ceremony will be held at the Civic Centre in Stockwell Close.
No ceremony would be complete without its own unique awards! In this case, as well as a cash prize, winners will receive a trophy crafted from recycled material.
If you want to nominate yourself or your organisation, or of curse you wanted to nominate others then the deadline is 1st April. Call 020 8313 4989.
