Description:
Bromley FC maintained their 100% start to the new season in the Blue Square South after a 1-0 win at Bishop Stortford last night. Bromley have now won six out of six and sit proudly on top of the division, four points clear of their nearest rivals. Bromley’s achievements have actually set a record as they become the first side ever to win their first six games at this league level.
Last night’s victory was settled by a 76th minute penalty taken and scored by Harrison Dunk. The penalty came about after Bromley played a long ball forward, which was flicked into the path of Nic McDonnell. An initial hesitation by Nicky Morgan in the Bishop’s Stortford goal was followed by the keeper bringing down the Bromley substitute inside the area, for which Morgan was booked.
Bromley’s next game is another away day, Saturday 4th September against 5th placed Maidenhead.
