Description:
Has the notorious artist Banksy struck again, in the London suburb of Orpington? Work in a similar style to the notorious artist has sprung up on Sevenoaks Way, the retail shopping district close to Orpington Town Centre twice in the past year.
The first piece of artwork was daubed on a grey electricity box in Sevenoaks Way, it appears was in two parts, the first showing a baby clutching the strings of a bunch of balloons on one door of the box and on the other door is a lady holding and using spray paint cans.
Local residents advised that the graffiti had been there for some time, but local newspapers picked up on the find earlier this year and the artwork was soon removed. Within the last week the local news has reported that yet another Banksyesque piece of work had on exactly the same electricity box outside the Tile Clearance House. This time the words ‘Neighbourhood Watch’ appearing above a pocket watch. This has reignited the theory that the Bristol associated artist has graced our fair borough on more than one occasion?
What are your thoughts? Is this the work of Banksy or the work of a copycat? Let us know!
