“Oh no they’re not!”
Oh yes they are! The Churchill Theatre is on the lookout for children between the ages of six and sixteen who want to star in their panto production this Christmas. The successful young thespians will get the chance to star alongside Melinda Messenger who plays the genie in the infamous pantomime, Aladdin.
The auditions will take place on September 19th and all you have to do to enter is get your parent or guardian to register you at the website robinsonssearchforastar.com (click on the link to take you straight through to the Bromley section). You must pre-register in order to audition. The registration desk will open at 13:00 on Sunday 19th September but those arriving after 13:00 will not be permitted to join the queue.
Everybody who auditions will be given a free t-shirt to wear on the day and take away with them. There will be no anxious waiting for anybody taking part, the lucky ones will be told on the day as Christmas is approaching fast and rehearsals need to get underway!
Shoppers in Bromley were recently treated to a preview of the upcoming Aladdin production as Widow Twanky and Princess Jasmine appeared on a stage in Market Square to encourage youngsters to sign up to the audition.
