Big Boys’ Toys event to bring thrills and spills to the Glades
Big Boys’ Toys, a high-octane event designed especially for the guys, will take place at Bromley’s premier shopping centre from 6 to 12 September. With the exciting Scalextric Challenge, a range of electronic sports and fantastic prize competitions, it promises to be a fun-fuelled fest.
For men who dream of racing a Porsche 997 GT3 or a Ferrari F430, the Glades’ Scalextric Challenge will provide the opportunity of a lifetime! For just £1 in aid of Help for Heroes, guys will get to race six laps of a thrilling track, with the fastest drivers nationwide going through to the real live finals at Silverstone and the overall winner qualifying for the World Scalextric Championship!
The Central Atrium will be transformed into a high-tech gym, as electronic sports experts from Instyle allow visitors to test their skills on a range of equipment including a flight simulator, cross trainer and home fitness bikes.
Modelzone will be demonstrating their exciting range of remote-controlled vehicles and offering a fantastic 10% off their Scalextric range. As well as the model sports cars, guys will also be able to experience the real thing, as Beckenham Audi will showcase the über-cool R8 supercar, with the chance to win Audi-branded merchandise in their free prize draw.
There are also fabulous prizes on offer in the Big Boys’ Toys Free Prize Draw including £300 of gear and free styling from Jack & Jones, a Scalextric set worth £59.99 from Modelzone, a hiking pack including boots from Trespass, £100 of men’s clothing from Debenhams, a stylish MK2 Circuit watch or Tracker watch from Storm, Prada sunglasses from Bromley Eye Centre and £100 of footwear from Jones Bootmaker. All these hot prizes will be on display in special, retailer-branded Competition Pods in Disney Atrium.
There’ll also be free, expert skin care advice specifically for men from Debenhams’ Clarins concession and Boots, while outdoor experts Trespass will present a special display of camping and hiking gear with which to explore the great outdoors.
