Description:
Beckenham’s Night of Honour, its awards ceremony to reward local unsung heroes, took place at the Citygate Church on 22nd November. Now in its 4th year, the ceremony aims to recognise the achievements of people who have made a special effort to touch the lives of others.
The 2009 awards were presented by local dignitaries such as Councillor Douglas Auld, the Bromley Mayor, and Chief Superintendent Charles Griggs, the borough’s police commander. Snooker star Willie Thorne also attended to present the award for Best Sports Star. As well as the awards themselves, the glitzy event also boasts exciting singing and dancing entertainment acts.
