Description:
A determined display by the Lillywhites saw Bromley FC doggedly defend a 0-0 draw against championship side Crystal Palace last night.
Crystal Palace had 20 shots on target but Bromley’s highly rated stopper, Wes Foderingham, kept them at bay with a man of the match display. Palace manager George Burley was impressed with Foderingham and revealed that the keeper had been training with them during the summer with a view to joining them as a third choice keeper.
Palace used the game as a pre-season training exercise, using 19 players throughout the ninety minutes.
Chances for Bromley were rare in a one sided game, the best chance of the first half fell to Leon McKenzie but his shot went wide without troubling the keeper. After a dominant Palace display Bromley could have grabbed an undeserved win late on as another chance fell to McKenzie, but he was well denied by Price in the Palace goal.
