Description:
The full redevelopment project undertaken at Bromley College has finally been completed after five years of work.
The full cost of the project was £26 million and has been completed in stages. The business and Professional Centre, featuring conference rooms and IT suites plus a resource centre with a cafe was opened by local MP Bon Neil back in October 2007. The latest addition to open is the new Technology Centre which was recently opened by Richard Noble, the former holder of the world land speed record.
The new building covers an area of over 32,000 square feet and covers a wide range of specialisms including equipment for trainee mechanics, electricians, construction engineers, hairdressers and beauticians. The hair and beauty section is open to the public under the name of Enhance Hair and Beauty.
The redevelopment project was funded by the college itself, the Learning & Skills Council and the Allied Irish Bank.
