Chislehurst Library provides a book library covering fiction and non-fiction as well as educational materials, there is also a newspaper and magazine section; CDs and DVDs for hire and a wide range of Council Services.

• Book Appreciation Groups: Group 1 is the last Monday of the month 6.30 - 7.30pm (no vacancies at present);Group 2 is the second Monday of the month 6.30 - 7.30pm.
• Chatterbooks children's book appreciation group: Saturday mornings once a month  
• Baby Bounce & Rhyme: Thursdays 10.00 - 10.30 am (term time only)
• Storytime for 3 to 5 years: Fridays 2.15 - 2.45 pm (term time only)
• Teenage Reading Group:Once a month on Saturday morning 10.30 - 11.30 am 
• Nextstep Careers Advice: Tuesdays 10.00 am - 4.00 pm, and Thursdays 2.00 - 4.30 pm
