The Glades is the jewel in the crown of shopping in Bromley and is the main shopping centre in the London Borough of Bromley and indeed one of the largest shopping centres in the South East of England.
The Glades has a total area of nearly 40,000 m² and currently has 133 shops occupying it. These include big names in retail such as Game, Zara, H&M, Debenhams, M&S, Orange, Gamleys, Boots Superdrug, Footlocker, Levis, The Disney Store, River Island and Lillywhites. But it is also home to a number of niche specialist stores.
As well as shops the Glades also contains over 15 cafes and restaurants which can be found throughout the centre. Other facilities include ATM machines provided by Abbey, RBS, Nationwide and Alliance & Leicester; toilets and baby changing facilities; and full disabled access throughout.
According to the Glades’ own figures, an average of 327,000 people visit the centre every week which adds up to 17 million people a year.
Transport links are excellent and the most popular mode of transport is by car. The majority of people park in the parking facilities provided by the Glades but there are also three other multi storey car parks in Bromley including the Civic Centre and Westmoreland Road.
The Glades is within a few minutes’ walk of both Bromley South and Bromley North railway stations and is served by al buses visiting Bromley.
