Description:
Mottingham is a town which is split between three London boroughs. The majority of the town lies in the London Borough of Greenwich, however, a small portion of Mottingham near to Grove Park is located in the London Borough of Lewisham and the area west of Mottingham Road is in the London Borough of Bromley.Mottingham has a reputation locally as being one of the less attractive places to live in the area, but it does enjoy some rural, green locations, especially in nearby Chislehurst and Elmstead. Marvels and Elmstead Woods are a good example of this open space and the ancient woods are home to an abundance of wildlife. The village part of Mottingham also enjoys a quiet ambience as it does not suffer from being a major through route.
Mottingham has two shopping centres, Kimeridge Cross and Mottingham Village which offer a wide array of shops to prevent the locals needing to look further afield too often.
As with most towns in the borough, Mottingham enjoys excellent transport links with easy access to the south east by road, as well as a railway station with access to London Bridge, Waterloo East, Cannon Street & Charing Cross. This makes it another ideal town for commuting professionals.
