Bromley Museum is located in Orpington in the medieval building, The Priory, which is next door to Orpington Library. The museum has many artefacts and displays regarding the local area and also, on occasion, has temporary events and displays.
The museum has three main areas:
Bromley's Past looks at the Bromley area through the ages, from prehistoric times through to modern day Bromley.
Your Place is an interactive gallery of various activities including games, books and clothes from 1950's Bromley onwards.
The Avebury Room looks at Sir John Lubbock, an acquaintance of Charles Darwin and himself an archaeologist, geologist, anthropologist and zoologist.
