Cats Protection - Bromley Branch

We are one of some two hundred and fifty branches of Cats Protection, founded in 1927 for the purpose of relieving the suffering and distress of cats. Since that time we have become the largest charity for the welfare of cats and kittens and are represented nationwide by a network of self-administered branches who carry out rescuing, rehoming and neutering.

Our branch was set up in 1972 as the sole representative of the charity in this area, and was followed over the years by the establishment of branches in Croydon, Catford, Eltham & Sidcup and Greenwich & Bexley.

Our work is entirely volunteer-based and is supported by fund-raising activities, donations from the public and those with whom we rehome our cats and kittens.

We deal with many hundreds of enquiries and phone calls each year on a wide range of issues including rehoming, neutering, lost cats, road accidents and general advice on the care and treatment of cats and kittens.

In order to carry out our vital work we need to raise some £25,000 each year which goes on the care of rescued cats and kittens and related veterinary costs.
